CBD 101: Everything You Need to Know
CONDITIONS AND BENEFITS OF CBD
There is no denying that CBD is here to stay. Just ten short years ago, very few people had even heard of CBD. Today, the compound has captured the attention of the globe.
For both health advocates and businesspeople, CBD is a promising new natural chemical. Excitingly, as our knowledge of CBD continues to grow, we continue to uncover new applications for it in the field of health and wellness.
While the energy behind the CBD industry is extremely exciting, many people still have questions about the compound. As more and more CBD products enter the market, consumers often have difficulty understanding one from another. Even more, basic CBD 101 information posted on the internet can sometimes be misleading.
Blosum wanted to take some time and explain the fundamentals of CBD. Ideally, this CBD 101 crash course will be a great first step for you to learn all about this amazing compound. As a more informed consumer, you will make better decisions when shopping for CBD products.
As a leading CBD brand, Blosum feels this CBD 101 course is great for educating our customers and push the industry forward.
What is CBD?
The term “CBD” is an abbreviation for the compound known as “cannabidiol”. Importantly, CBD is one of the many naturally occurring chemicals in the cannabis sativa plant known as “cannabinoids”.
Today, cannabidiol has gained global notoriety as a natural aid for both mental and physical ailments. While CBD is an organic compound found in cannabis, it often gets processed before being sold in many of the cannabidiol products we know today. These manufacturing steps include harvest and extraction, as well as the formulation into consumable goods.
Where Does Cannabidiol Come From?
Cannabidiol occurs naturally in the flowers of cannabis sativa. This plant species has several categories, including those referred to as “marijuana” and “hemp”. An overwhelming majority of the cannabidiol products on the market today are originally sourced from hemp. We will define hemp further in the next section of this CBD 101 guide.
Human beings have used cannabis for thousands of years. There is evidence that ancient Asian cultures were consuming cannabis 2,500 years ago. Even more incredible, prehistoric people cultivated hemp as a source of textiles and food over 10,000 years ago. Since then, it has played an integral role in developing nearly every major civilization on earth, including those found in Europe and North America.
As mentioned in the CBD 101 introduction, cannabidiol is what is known as a “cannabinoid”. Cannabinoids are the primary active ingredients in the flowers of cannabis.
The U.S. National Library of Medicine website tells us that cannabis plants contain “about 426 chemical entities, of which more than 60 are cannabinoid compounds.” It is precisely the different characteristics of these compounds that give rise to our definitions of marijuana and hemp.
Delta 9 Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is the most famous cannabinoid. Importantly, this is the chemical found in cannabis that makes people feel “high”. THC levels are the primary differentiating factor for classifying marijuana and hemp.
Cannabidiol (CBD) is the primary driving force behind the booming hemp industry of today. One of the primary reasons cannabidiol is so popular is that it does not get people “high” when consumed. However, it has many beneficial characteristics concerning health and wellness.
Cannabigerol (CBG) is a newly discovered cannabinoid that is gaining more attention on the global market. While we still have a good deal to learn about CBG, the cannabinoid shows real promise in health and wellness.
What is the Difference Between Marijuana and Hemp?
One of the most fundamental parts of CBD 101 is learning the difference between marijuana and hemp. Today, hemp is legal in the United States, while marijuana remains illegal.
According to the federal government, cannabis sativa plants that contain less than 0.3% THC are legally considered hemp. Conversely, marijuana plants are those that contain THC levels higher than 0.3%. Medical and adult-use marijuana markets in states like Colorado, California, and Michigan are built around this type of potent cannabis.
While hemp plants are restricted to producing high THC levels, there are no federal restrictions on the amount of cannabidiol grown in them. Hemp plants that are grown for cannabidiol fuel the global CBD market we know today.
Why is CBD So Popular Now?
The growth of the cannabidiol industry is nothing short of spectacular. According to the Brightview Group website, “From the start of its federal legalization in 2018 to the end of 2019, CBD generated over $4 billion in revenue. At the close of 2020, the hemp market brought in $4.7 billion in the U.S. alone.” Even more, they predict the U.S. cannabidiol market will reach $16 billion in annual sales by the year 2025.
CBD works with your body’s primal endocannabinoid system, a complex and intricate network of receptors that play an integral role in maintaining homeostasis. This internal system has been linked to appetite regulation, mood management, pain relief, and learning and memory functions. The unique nature of each person is reflected within their individualized endocannabinoid systems, which are associated with stress levels, among other factors not mentioned here!
There are several key reasons why cannabidiol has gained this level of popularity. These factors are critical for any well-rounded CBD 101 lesson.
One of the main reasons that CBD is so popular is that the cannabinoid is “non-psychoactive”. It also has no adverse effects. In other words, the effects of cannabidiol do not make you feel “high”.
Working professionals and athletes can use it without concern for the effects of cannabidiol on their performance. Today, many sports organizations such as Major League Baseball (MLB) have stopped punishing athletes for using cannabidiol.
People from around the globe report that cannabidiol helps quell physical ailments like chronic pain and psychological issues like anxiety. Yet, without formal FDA approval on cannabidiol medicines, most of our knowledge on the effects of cannabidiol comes from patient testimonies. Formal studies into the endocannabinoid system are also beginning to bear fruit.
Millions of people take CBD every day to treat anxiety, sleep disorders, chronic pain, arthritis, PTSD, inflammation, Alzheimer’s disease, breast cancer, Parkinson’s disease, depression, autism, nausea, and headaches. Even more, there are countless products on the market today designed specifically for pets.
What is the History of Cannabidiol?
The cannabidiol industry as we know it today has come together for several reasons. Each of these factors is important in a CBD 101 history lesson.
In an interesting turn of events, THC has likely had as much to do with the popularity of CBD as cannabidiol itself. When states like Colorado and Washington legalized adult-use marijuana around 2013, they drew global attention to the massive profit potential of cannabis-derived products. Yet, with THC remaining federally illegal, people began looking for another cannabinoid to fill a growing global interest in medical marijuana.
With careful research, cannabidiol was “discovered” as a new cannabinoid with near-countless applications for health and wellness.
2014 & 2018 Farm Bills
The history of cannabidiol in the United States can be traced back to some important legislation with the USDA.
The CBD market started with a legal loophole in the 2014 Farm Bill. This legislation includes a section that grants colleges and scientists the ability to legally grow hemp for research purposes. However, early cannabidiol manufacturers saw this pilot program as a business opportunity. In turn, they started growing, processing, and selling cannabidiol products across the United States.
It wasn’t until the 2018 Farm Bill passed that hemp was federally legalized in the United States. With this historic legislation, anyone can legally grow cannabis sativa plants as long as they contain less than 0.3% THC. There is no doubt that it took federal legalization to boost the CBD industry to today’s global juggernaut.
Early Days of Cannabidiol and Epidiolex
Cannabidiol had important medical advocates that helped thrust it into the global spotlight. Perhaps none was as impactful as a 5-year-old girl from Colorado named Charlotte Figi of these early influences.
According to NBC News, “Charlotte had Dravet syndrome, an extreme form of epilepsy. At age 5, she suffered as many as 300 grand mal seizures a week, used a wheelchair, went into repeated cardiac arrest, and could barely speak”. Yet, NBC continues, “Charlotte’s symptoms largely disappeared after she began taking an oil infused with a strain .. high in the compound cannabidiol, or CBD”. Charlotte’s success in treating her seizures with cannabidiol helped spotlight the cannabinoid as a legitimate medicine.
As of 2021, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has only approved a single cannabidiol drug for medical use. The pharmaceutical, known as “epidiolex“, was authorized in 2018 to treat epilepsy, including Dravet syndrome and Lennox-Gastaut syndrome. While epidiolex is the only CBD medicine formally recognized by the FDA, there is hope to approve more cannabidiol drugs shortly. In time, hopefully, doctors can include both CBD and THC with medical advice.
Is Cannabidiol Legal?
No CBD 101 lesson would be complete without looking at legal issues.
While hemp was legalized in 2018, the CBD industry still operates in a bit of a grey area. A large part of this confusion comes from the fact that the FDA has failed to release definitive guidelines for the legal manufacturing and sale of cannabidiol products.
Today, CBD is considered legal in the United States as long as companies don’t market their products as medicines or dietary supplements. If businesses make medical claims about their cannabidiol products, these goods are immediately deemed illegal in the federal government’s eyes. Unfortunately, consumers are the ones who suffer from this system because the government has not given them any real direction for understanding CBD.
Companies must also navigate conflicting state laws on CBD. As seen with federal regulation, state cannabidiol laws are often extremely confusing. Not only do they change quickly, but different state laws are rarely in agreement with one another.
A major point of contention for companies operating in different state markets is THC levels. For example, some states follow federal guidelines for THC levels of 0.3%, while others only consider products legal when they contain 0% THC.
While there is much to be desired concerning the federal regulation of cannabidiol products, the market has grown exponentially over the past decade.
What is CBD Oil & CBD Extract?
All cannabidiol products are originally sourced from cannabis flowers. After flowers are harvested, they are further processed into the many CBD products we see on the market today. A critical part of this manufacturing process is extracting cannabidiol and other beneficial compounds from flowers.
Extracts concentrate cannabidiol by isolating it from other plant materials. Manufacturers make hemp extracts through several processes, including CO2 extraction, hydrocarbon extraction, and ethanol extraction. Once extracted, the concentrated cannabidiol is often referred to as “CBD oil”.
CO2 extraction is the most popular and efficient method for extracting cannabidiol from other plant materials. CO2 extraction technology and practices are largely adopted from the food manufacturing industry. Moreover, leading companies such as Blosum follow strict Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), as seen with food processing.
Full Spectrum Extracts
A full-spectrum CBD oil includes all of the organic compounds in hemp. Yet, full-spectrum extracts are differentiated from other extracts through trace amounts of THC. Importantly, full-spectrum extracts include the legal 0.3% of THC. CBD product manufacturers capitalize on the THC found in full-spectrum extracts, as many believe it works in unison with other cannabinoids.
Broad Spectrum Extracts
Broad-spectrum CBD oils include all the organic compounds found in flowers, minus the trace amount of THC found in full-spectrum products. These compounds include chlorophyll, terpenes, and flavonoids. Many consumers like broad-spectrum extracts because they believe these organic compounds also have health benefits. Even more, broad-spectrum extracts are a great option in U.S. states where even 0.3% THC is illegal.
Isolate extracts are the most refined extracts on the market. To make these products, companies isolate cannabidiol from the other chemicals found in full-spectrum and broad-spectrum extracts. CBD isolate is particularly popular with athletes because you can consume them without concern for other compounds. Isolate extracts are often marketed as the “purest” cannabidiol products.
What Types of CBD Products are Available?
Understanding the difference between products is essential in CBD 101 basics.
After flowers are harvested, they are processed into the myriad of products we see on the market today. Depending on the CBD product in question, several processing stages occur from when crops are harvested to when products are finally consumed. Except for those products composed of raw plant materials (such as flowers), nearly all CBD products on the market today utilize some type of cannabidiol extract.
Flowers are the least processed CBD products on the market today. Flowers are simply the “buds” of cannabis plants. They are trimmed and cured before being sold. Consumers often smoke flowers directly.
Topicals are cannabidiol products that people use directly on their skin. All topicals are created by mixing CBD extracts with lotions, salves, oils, and other beneficial ingredients. Topicals come in all shapes and sizes and are utilized for various ailments ranging from arthritis to sports injuries.
Edibles are foods infused with cannabidiol. Manufacturers generally make edibles by mixing raw food ingredients with extracts, then processing all ingredients into a final product. Because it doesn’t have any residual taste, CBD isolate is a popular ingredient in edibles. There are thousands of edibles on the market today, although gummies and cookies have long been popular products.
CBD vapes are made from a blend of vape juice and CBD extracts. Vape manufacturers often use CBD isolate in their products because it doesn’t have any residual flavor. CBD vapes are consumed in the same way as other e-cigarettes, although they don’t contain nicotine. People enjoy vaping because it is considered a healthy alternative to smoking flowers.
CBD capsules are a neat and convenient way to consume CBD. To make capsules, manufacturers formulate CBD-infused oil into soft gel form. People enjoy capsules because they offer precision dosing. Even more, capsules don’t include many sugars and bi-products, as seen in most CBD edibles.
There are a good number of CBD pet products available on the market today. These products include treats, chews, tinctures, and capsules. Whether it be anxiety or chronic pain, pets benefit from how CBD works in many of the same ways that people do.
The Best CBD Products for You
With so many options available on the market today, it can be tough to know what CBD products are best for you. This notion is particularly true for those individuals who are new to cannabis and hemp products. Luckily, by conducting some basic CBD 101 research, you can make more informed decisions on your CBD purchases.
CBD is an incredible compound that has near-endless applications for wellness. As the CBD industry continues to mature, so does our understanding of the cannabinoid. Whether it be with sleep disorders or inflammation, millions of people report that they benefit from cannabidiol.
At Blosum, we take great pride in educating our customers on CBD. We recommend conducting cursory CBD 101 research to learn which products are best suited for your particular ailment if you are new to CBD. After that, find a CBD brand that utilizes quality CBD and ingredients.
CBD oil for Sleep

Everyone has those days when they didn’t get enough sleep. Maybe those days start with an extra cup of coffee, but midway through, you find yourself dragging. Lack of sleep can cause other issues besides tired movements.
It can cause a lack of concentration, slower productivity, and irritability. If just sitting at home, these symptoms will be bothersome. Now imagine trying to work with the fog caused by not getting enough sleep.
Most people know that CBD helps promote sleep. What is not as commonly know is that the relaxing effect of CBD encourages restful sleep. Some tinctures, mixed with relaxing oils like lavender, promote the relaxation needed to sleep.
- CBD promotes relaxation that will aid in a restful night’s sleep.
- CBD is a natural sleep aid with no side effects in the morning.
- CBD therapy can help the body stay asleep, which provides a better, more restful night’s sleep.

CBD oil for Anxiety
As those who suffer from anxiety know that it can feel like your brain is never getting a break. These continual thoughts lead to an overwhelming feeling of exhaustion and helplessness. Anxiety sufferers often experience many other symptoms caused by their anxiety. These include insomnia, loss of appetite, and depression.
As each of these symptoms feeds of the initial anxiety, they create further thoughts of helplessness and lead to even new anxiety. Running the mind in an endless circle that leaves the person feeling completely lost and worn out.
Left untreated anxiety can lead to further medical conditions and even hospitalizations. CBD oils may offer the relief needed to combat the underlying symptoms that are fueling the circle of anxiety. Studies have shown CBD oil as an excellent alternative to traditional medicines in the treatment of anxiety. The benefit is offered by its ability to aid and promote the following.
- It promotes relaxation in the body and has a calming effect on the mind, slowing down the racing thoughts that drive anxiety.
- Aids in relieving the manic feeling caused by the continual stress and worrying caused by anxiety.
- Reduced depression through the anti-depressant qualities of CBD.
- Promotes positivity, which reduces the negative thoughts associated with anxiety.
- The relaxing properties of CBD reduce the stress that can be felt during anxiety attacks.
While CBD cannot cure anxiety, it goes a long way in relieving many of the symptoms associated with this ailment.
CBD oil for Pain
Pain is something almost every person experiences at some point in their lives. For those suffering from chronic pain, finding relief that works and lasts is a top priority. People who suffer from ailments like arthritis and fibromyalgia experience pain regularly.
Many turn to traditional medicines to numb the pain or help ease it. The side effects of the long term use of these medicines can be scary, however. Leaving a need for a better solution to manage their daily pain.
CBD products can provide a natural solution to pain relief that does not carry the fearsome side effect. Studies have shown that the compounds in CBD oil work to relieve the pain many feel. Options are available for pain relief using CBD.
Topical creams and lotions can be used to target specific areas of pain like joints and muscles. Adding in daily gummies could help to ease the overall pain felt by many.
CBD products offer solutions by
- Reducing the overall discomfort of the pain.
- Reducing the inflammation that causes joint and muscle pain.
- Promoting relaxation that aids in the healing of the joints and muscles that cause certain types of pain.
- Allowing sufferers to find enough relief
While living with pain is unavoidable in some cases, CBD can help make the pain bearable and provide a better quality of life.
CBD oil for Inflammation
Inflammation is a primary cause of the pain many deal with daily. Swelling occurs for numerous reasons ranging from injury and infection to illnesses and disease. Finding relief from the inflammation will often spell relief from its associated pain.
If you have ever made a bad step and sprained your ankle, then you are familiar with inflammation. While this type of inflammation is painful, it is not generally long-lasting. Other sources like chronic inflammation last far longer and can lead to other illnesses.
Heart disease is one of the conditions that can occur as a result of chronic inflammation. The problem with many of these illnesses is that they occur inside the body. Unlike that sprained ankle that shows visible swelling, these are hidden problems that grow in severity.
The good news is, CBD can help. With the application of cbd topicals as well as consumables, inflammation sufferers are finding relief. CBD products like salves and creams applied to the location of the pain provide concentrated treatment for inflammation. Some of the benefits of CBD in inflammation are:
- A reduction in inflammation and in turn, the pain it can cause.
- Pain relief.
- Better sleep during flare-ups.
Inflammation can make life painful. CBD products may offer some necessary relief and make the pain manageable.
CBD oil for Depression
Millions of people suffer from depression. Depression causes a feeling of hopelessness and disinterest in those who suffer from it. Finding hope or the will to get out of bed in the morning can become a struggle. Finding relief from the symptoms that come with depression means finding a way to survive.
This mental disorder takes its toll on the body. With symptoms including loss of appetite, overeating, weight gain, loss of sleep or the constant desire to sleep, and losing interest in everything that matters in your life, it is vital that sufferers find help.
CBD can have a major impact on the toll depression takes on the body. CBD helps to regulate the brain’s production of anti-depressant and anti-stress chemicals like serotonin.
Serotonin is the chemical the body produces that attributes to happiness and well being. CBD helps promote the regulation and release of serotonin, which in turn helps to elevate the mood.
CBD promotes mental health in other ways, as well.
- Promotes a restful night’s sleep, which helps boost mental awareness.
- Aids in combating appetite loss by increasing appetite.
- CBD has a calming effect that helps reduce the stress that can trigger depressive episodes.
- It promotes the natural anti-stress and antidepressant chemicals found in the body. Both of these help to relieve the helplessness one feels during bouts of depression.
CBD gummies and pills are best for combating depression as they will provide a whole-body effect instead of a concentrated location-specific aid.
CBD oil for Crohn’s
Crohn’s disease is a condition that includes inflammation and scarring in the intestines. This inflammation is usually accompanied by abdominal pain, cramping, and overall discomfort. Pain associated with Crohn’s ranges from mild discomfort to severe pain and cramping. These pains can occur in the abdomen, lower abdomen, and in the joints.
Though this is an illness that occurs in the intestines, its effects can include the whole body. Some of the symptoms of Crohn’s include extreme fatigue, loss of appetite, depression, and fever.
CBD has found success in relieving many of these symptoms in other illnesses and can do the same for Crohn’s related ailments in the following ways.
- CBD will promote restful sleep that will help alleviate the fatigue caused by Crohn’s.
- It will stimulate the appetite that is lost during Crohn’s flare-ups.
- CBD products help to relax the muscles that often cause cramping during flares.
- It will also help combat the symptoms of depression that sometimes occurs with Crohn’s.
- The natural reduction in inflammation promoted by CBD will help reduce the occurrence of Crohn’s flare-ups.
Though CBD will not cure Crohn’s, it can help find relief of the symptoms that accompany it and reduce the number of flare-ups one has.
CBD oil for Weight Loss
Weight loss is a growing necessity in this country. The rise of fast food and unhealthy diets due to time constraints combined with less activity has led to an increase in obesity. With the rise in obesity comes an increase in other health issues. Combating obesity requires understanding the underlying condition first.
Obesity is not merely being overweight. It includes a number of health factors that contribute to the ill effects. For example, high blood pressure is often associated with obesity.
This combined with high amounts of sugar, and your body is running non stop to try and keep you alive. This overstimulation of the organs can lead to failures and further medical issues. For this reason, it is essential to catch them early and combat them in the best possible way.
So, how can CBD help with weight loss? Scientific studies demonstrate that CBD can help combat obesity through appetite suppression. These are some of the ways how CBD helps promote weight loss.
- Reduces inflammation caused by overactivity. This inflammation causes the pancreas to work harder to rid the body of excess insulin.
- It helps to elevate the mood through the promotion of serotonin production. This helps decrease binge eating caused by negative self-image.
- Aids in the reduction of the natural fats in the body.
- Promotes positive energy, which will help a person to be more active and encourage weight loss.
Weight loss is often a hard battle. CBD products can help alleviate some of the symptoms caused by being overweight and aid in the confidence-building one needs to succeed in proper diet and exercise.
CBD oil for Seizures
For many years the debate as to the use of CBD for relief from seizures was prominent in the news. The surge in reported cases and the possibility of relief caused many to take notice. This attention increased pressure to solve this debate.
As of June 25, 2018, this debate has been resolved, in part. This is the date that the FDA approved the use of CBD in the form of Epidiolex.
Epidiolex is an oral CBD solution that is utilized in seizure patients two years and older suffering from two specific seizure types; Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome and Dravet Syndrome.
Research is ongoing to provide the needed answers to include FDA approval for other types of seizure inclusion. However, that is not stopping other seizure sufferers from enjoying the benefits that CBD has provided them with.
While there are only two types of seizures covered, for now, many other seizure sufferers swear by the benefits of CBD use in reducing the occurrence of seizures. This is how these benefits work.
- Has been shown to reduce seizures.
- These products have a calming effect that helps reduce the occurrence and longevity of seizures.
- Provides better quality of life with reduced symptoms.
- Quick-acting formulas provide almost instant relief.
CBD oil for Insomnia
Sleep is never more precious than when you have trouble achieving it. For people with insomnia, sleep is the ever-elusive pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. For these people, nights are filled with tossing in bed until they give up and start their day where they left off.
Insomnia may be a sleep issue; however, it causes other medical problems. The lack of sleep causes issues with concentration, immune health, uncontrollable mood changes, and many more. These symptoms have insomniacs clamoring for relief. Often this relief comes in the form of a prescription that poses even more health risks than the lack of sleep itself.
CBD offers a natural alternative to these scary prescriptions. By interacting with receptors within the Endocannabinoid System, CBD promotes the proper function of the receptors that control the way a person sleeps. This positive interaction allows many insomniacs to find the sleep they are so diligently seeking.
CBD helps relieve insomnia in the following ways.
- It allows the body to stay asleep longer once sleeping.
- CBD reduces the stress that causes the mind to continue running while the body is trying to rest.
- It has a calming effect on anxiety, which allows the mind to relax.
Sleep is a luxury that all deserve, not something that should have to be worked for. CBD can help insomniacs achieve a better night’s sleep naturally.
CBD oil for Headaches
Another controversial topic when it comes to CBD use for relief is that of headaches. Studies have been inconclusive for scientists to affirm or deny the ability of headache sufferers to receive relief from CBD products.
There are many approved medications for headaches, including migraines. Some of these remedies are available without a prescription, while others require a doctor’s approval and prescription.
These medications will work to varying degrees in relieving headaches and symptoms. However, many of them also come with side effects that are far worse than the headache that prompted their use.
That being said, many who suffer from headaches, especially migraines, will attest to the benefits provided by CBD products. The reason this is, especially in the case of migraines, is the anti-inflammatory abilities of CBD.
Migraines produce pain through inflammation. Many factors can trigger this inflammation. The most common factors are stress, lack of sleep, dehydration, and overstimulation.
CBD products have been shown to relieve most of the ailments that produce triggers for migraines.
- CBD helps a person relax and provides a calming effect that reduces stress.
- It helps promote a restful night’s sleep and alleviates the sleep deprivation trigger.
- It stimulates hunger and relieves this trigger.
- CBD helps reduce the inflammation that is caused by overstimulation.
With all of the triggers taken out of the equation, it is only natural for the headache to be relieved with the use of CBD.
CBD oil for Autism
Autism Spectrum Disorder, most commonly referred to as Autism is a condition that affects a person’s social, behavioral, verbal and nonverbal abilities. Each person with Autism has a differing level of abilities and restrictions.
Many patients with Autism are found to have differing levels of thinking capacities that range from very restrictive to highly advanced. The issue is often that these thoughts are occurring at a rapid pace and communicative abilities of the person do not allow for the processing and verbalizing of these thoughts.
Some of the reactions in Autism include compulsive behavior, lack of interest, attention limitations, anxiety, tics, and at times self-harm. Because each person’s Autism is different, it is difficult to find a solution that will help alleviate the issues each person has.
CBD will not cure Autism. However, it has shown promising signs in the treatment of the symptoms associated with this disorder.
- CBD has a relaxing and calming effect that may alleviate overstimulated minds.
- The regulation of serotonin will help to lift the mood of autistic patients.
- CBD will provide restful sleep, which will produce a calmer clarity in thinking.
Though each of these benefits is a small step, it can be a giant aid for the mind of a child whose only desire is to be loved and to communicate their own love.
CBD oil for Nausea
Everyone has experienced nausea at one time or another. It is an unpleasant illness that has many causes and far too few solutions. Vomiting can be caused by eating the wrong food, bacterial infections, or chronic illnesses like cancer. Treatment, however, often worsens the problem or causes other more severe issues.
Many remedies for nausea require the person to take some kind of medicine. The problem with these treatments is that it is hard to take medication when nothing stays down. Nine times out of ten, the medicine ends the way everything else has.
Through scientific studies, it is now understood that CBD can help to alleviate the ailment of nausea and vomiting in some cases. CBD tinctures can provide relief for nausea and vomiting that does not require swallowing, something that is going to cause even more vomiting.
Because these liquids are administered through drops under the tongue, they do not have to be swallowed. They also provide faster relief as they are instantly absorbed and distributed throughout the body.
CBD can help those suffering from nausea caused by illness or by the treatment for another disease through its calming effects and relaxing compounds, allowing sufferers to rest and find a new appetite for life.
CBD oil for Pets
Many are not aware that their beloved pets can benefit from CBD products as much as they can? Studies show that pets often suffer some of the same ailments that humans do. These include separation anxiety, noise-induced anxiety, stress, arthritis, and many more. Finding a natural product to help your pet feel his or her best while not upsetting their dietary balance is hard.
Much like their human owners, pets have an endocannabinoid system that can be affected by external stimulators. They suffer from inflammation, anxiety, stress, and many of the same ailments that can plague your life. So it is only natural that CBD components will help them, much the same way.
CBD consumables work well for this need. With many products being created with pets in mind, finding the solution to help your best mate is as simple as looking for CBD treats made with them in mind. CBD products made for pets offer the same benefits as the products manufactured for their owners.
- They relieve inflammation.
- Have a calming effect, which reduces stress and anxiety.
- They alleviate nausea.
- Aid in relaxation allowing the animal to rest comfortably and reduce the triggers that cause many illnesses.
Even though your furry friends may not be able to tell you how they are feeling, the relief they feel will be clear with the return of their playful nature.
